Install Mosquitto on Ubuntu 15.04

Updates may be needed…) Add mosquitto’s PPA to ubuntu, in a terminal sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mosquitto-dev/mosquitto-ppa If the command does’t work, read more here Run update sudo apt-get update Install the mosquitto server only sudo apt-get install mosquitto Install the mosquitto server and mosquitto pub/sub clients sudo apt-get install mosquitto mosquitto-clients Stop the mosquttio server sudo /etc/init.d/mosquitto stop Add users to mosquitto sudo mosquitto_passwd -c /etc/mosquitto/users.passwd xxyyzz Where ‘xxyyzz’ is the username.

Install Telldus on Synology NAS

Some quick notes (not complete) On a “spare” debian computer (virtual), do the following: apt-get install build-essential apt-get install libftdi1 apt-get install libftdi-dev apt-get install libconfuse0 apt-get install libconfuse-dev apt-get cmake Download the latest telldus-core version from Telldus Unpack it by: gunzip telldus-core-{version}.tar.gz and tar xvf telldus-core-{version}.tar Run: cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/syno Run: make Pack it all together and copy it over to the NAS

Force HTTPS Synology NAS

As Synology NAS:es uses Roundcube for the “Mailstation” service, it’s rather easy to change desired settings. To force HTTPS on all connections to Roundcube: Connect to the Synology NAS through SSH Edit the file: /volume1/@appstore/MailStation/roundcubemail/config/ Under section SYSTEM (around line 306) Change $rcmail_config[‘force_https’] = false; to true Save and quit.
